Review the WHO-VOA volunteer opportunities described below, then let us know the areas of interest to you and we will follow up.
What: Be a shopper for Father Ed Judy House
How You’ll Help: Using a predetermined list of household items needed by clients who transition to permanent housing, visit your neighborhood Wal-Mart and buy the contents for the WHO-VOA Starter Kit.
More Details: You’ll be reimbursed by WHO-VOA and we can make arrangements to pick up the kits you buy.
What: Volunteer for Dress For Success
How You’ll Help: WHO-VOA members are needed to help sort clothing donations on the monthly donation days (second Saturday of every month).
More Details: Other volunteer opportunities exist for Dress For Success, including assisting in the Career Center and as a personal shopper.
What: Volunteer for Bannock Youth Center
How You’ll Help: Volunteer opportunities include shopping for necessary household goods (similar to the WHO-VOA Starter Kits, see above), helping with events such as birthday celebrations, and buying groceries, cooking meals and cleaning up for weekly sessions which clients attend, as well as providing child care while parents attend these client sessions.
More Details: This is one of our newest supported nonprofits, so we’re still working out specific WHO-VOA volunteer opportunities.
What: Volunteer for Veteran Women’s Center
How You’ll Help: Volunteer opportunities include shopping for necessary household goods and hygiene items (similar to the WHO-VOA Starter Kits) and possibly more.
More Details: This is one of our newest supported nonprofits, so we’re still working out specific WHO-VOA volunteer opportunities.
