Women Helping Others (“WHO”) is a Giving Circle of Volunteers of America dedicated to serving the needs of disadvantaged women and children along the front range of Colorado.  We seek opportunities to make a significant and sustainable impact in the improvement and enhancement of others’ lives through our personal and financial involvement.

Membership Donations

We acknowledge that some of you may be in a position of having more time than money; and others may have more money than time.  If you have both, you are truly blessed!  We also trust that you join WHO because you want to participate at some level.

By joining WHO, you have committed to a minimum of:

  • A minimum annual donation of $100, which may be paid in quarterly installments (and please know how much we appreciate your donations in excess of the minimum); or,
  • Volunteering 3 hours of your time each quarter by working with one of the charities we support.

Monetary donations:  Your generous donations allow WHO-VOA to offer our support to so many women and children.  Thank you!

  • A reminder notice will be sent via email to the membership the beginning of each quarter; donations will be due no later than the last day of the quarter.  (For example, donations for the third quarter of each year are to be paid between July 1st and September 30th.)
  • You are welcome to pay your annual donation at one time in lieu of quarterly donations (note that your total annual donation is accounted for within the fiscal year, which is July 1 through June 30).  When making donations for multiple quarters, please indicate the quarters for which your donation applies.
  • Receipts for monetary donations will be sent out at the end of each quarter.
  • Please make your checks payable to:  WHO-VOA
  • And, please mail your checks to:  WHO-VOA, P. O. Box 371956, Denver, CO 80237

Volunteer / time donations:  Volunteer time is precious and we thank you for every hour you dedicate to WHO-VOA efforts!

  • In lieu of, or in addition to, your monetary donations, you may dedicate volunteer hours to one of our charities.
  • Volunteer time must be provided within the quarter in order for it to be considered in lieu of a monetary donation for that same period.
  • If you intend to fulfill your commitment, you must report your hours donated to the Chairwoman responsible for the charity(s) before the end of the quarter.

Additional notes:

  • Amounts donated to or spent at WHO-VOA fundraising events do NOT count toward your annual commitment.  We truly appreciate all of your participation.  Your donations to our fundraisers are tax deductible (excluding base cost) and separate receipts will be provided for each event.
  • Your gift-in-kind donations are not tracked by WHO-VOA and are NOT counted toward your annual commitment.  Please obtain a receipt directly from the Chairwoman in charge of the charity for which you donated your items.

Do you have furniture to donate?

You can deliver furniture to Provider’s Resource Clearinghouse (PRC).  PRC has facilities that can accommodate large furniture donations.  When making a donation, please tell PRC that you are donating on behalf of the Father Ed Judy House (FEJH).  After six donations have been made for FEJH, a client of FEJH receives a free voucher for up to six pieces of furniture.
